Baby Boom predicted if All Blacks Win, 15 hottest names!

After the 1987 world cup win to the All Blacks there was a brief spike in the number of babies born, if the All Blacks are successfull tonight the prediction is the same will follow!

“Figures released to the Otago Daily Times from Statistics NZ show that during March 1988 there were 4822 births, almost 400 births more than in February and April (1)”

“Prominent All Blacks also appear to be influencing the names of boys born around each tournament, with distinctive names such as Taine (1999-2000), Carlos (2003) and Carter (2007-08) appearing in the top 100 New Zealand boys’ names (1)”

I have selected 15 names from the All Blacks which I think are attractive to those wanting to honor all All Black 2011.

Ciaran

Ciaran is a boys name.

It is said KEER-awn.

It means little black haired one. The Irish word Ciar means black or dark.

Two important Irish saints, Ciaran of Saighir and Ciaran of Clonmacnois.

Popularity: #33 in Ireland, #115 in Scotland

Variants/Nicknames:Ciaren, Kiaran, Kiraren, Kyran, , Kieran, Keiran, Kieren, Kieron, Keiron.

Comments on Ciaran:

I like Ciaran SO much more than Kieran. I’ve recently seen it on a few girls in other parts of the country; that is so wrong. Ciaran has a perfectly good feminine– Ciara.

I have named my baby Ciaran, I just loved this spelling, that is one of the reasons I choose this name. I think it is such a strong sounding name.
