Name for 12th January- Emrys

Welsh: Welsh form of AMBROSE. Emrys Wledig (or Ambrosius Aurelianus) was a Romano-British military leader who fought against the invading Anglo-Saxons in the 5th-century. Tales of his life were used by the 12th-century chronicler Geoffrey of Monmouth to create the character of Merlin, who he called Merlinus Ambrosius or Myrddin Emrys. (behindthename.com)

Name for 29th December- Ambrose

English: From the Late Latin name Ambrosius, which was derived from the Greek name Αμβροσιος (Ambrosios) meaning “immortal”. Saint Ambrose was a 4th-century theologian and bishop of Milan, who is considered a Doctor of the Church. Due to the saint, the name came into general use in Christian Europe, though it was never particularly common in England. (Behindthename.com)
