I’m guessing Aneira is a Maori name – presumably from anei ‘here is’ and ra ‘day’/’sun’ etc – “Anei Ra” seems to be a Maori song. I had to do a double take, though, as here in Wales, Aneira is a girl’s name!

Yes, I’d read it originally as the announcement rather than the sibling! Still, I added another Maori phrase to my vocabulary! 😀

It was Maori language week here this week and one of the supermarkets had all these amazing labels on the food with the Maori word very cool 🙂
