Considering it’s the 3rd most popular ending letter for boys names, and actually used to be the most popular ending letter a few decades ago, I’d hardly consider it feminine…

I didn’t say it was my own opinion. I like Avery and many other y ending names.

Yup, I could see many parents clutching their pearls or rending garments at the thought of their son having the “effeminate” Y or EE ending.

        It’s sheer lunacy.

And I love Ashley (not listed), Malachy and Guy.

A friend used Malachy as her son’s middle name.

I love Avery, Finley, Henry, Malachy, Rafferty and Wesley. Boys I know with these names (and siblings, of course, haha) are:

    Conway (sister Callista)
Darcy X 2 (middle name Danger; sister Lena and brother Clancy- another good -y boys’ name; other one has a sister called Molly)
    Finley (brother Forest)
Guy X 2 (middle names Charles Cooper; sisters Lauren Bronte Roxana and Holly Georgia Ellen; the other one has a brother, Beau, and a sister, Shani)
Henry X 2 (brother Max Raphael; the other one has a brother called Rupert)
    Humphrey (sister Isabel)
Lenny (real name Leonard; middle name John; sisters Ines and Nina)
Malachy (Malakai in this case) (brothers Jarrah Edwin Jack, Luka David and Joseph Roger- Joey)
Toby X 2 (brother Strath and sister Mary; the other one has two sisters called Jeanette and Nina)
    Tully (no siblings)

    …and for girls:

    Darcy (no siblings)
Jay (real name Jaclyn; sister Kaitlyn and brother Brad)
    Kennedy (brother Jesse)
    Marley (sister Ava)
Tully X 2 (middle name Scarlet; brother Samuel Llewellyn; other one has a brother called Alby)

Ha, I got a bit carried away there! Oh well πŸ™‚

I much prefer Tully on a girl, I have also heard Tull for a boy; my best friends’ dad is called Ian Tull. So there you go!
