Wow! Great names! 🙂 I love most of them!
Viola Cecily makes me a bit sad, though. I had Viola Cecily Frances as a combo, but this is the second Viola Cecily I’ve seen in a birth announcement (the other was Viola Cecily Fortescue)! Oh well. Off to find a new combo! 🙂
Funny, I know of sisters named Harmony and Melody, but they must be in their teens by now. 🙂

Naw I hate when that happens! I don’t Viola will ever become uber popular here in NZ so would be safe if you were wanting something unpopular. Viola Cecily Frances is so lovely please keep it on your list 🙂

I live in the US, but I can’t really see Viola being the next Isabella. As long as she stays out of the Top 100 (or at least the Top 50), I don’t really mind. 🙂
I’m glad you like Viola Cecily Frances! 🙂

Hazel Frances Carlina is lovely. The first two are both family names for me, and I love them 🙂 Florence Eve is practically my ultimate name haha, I love it! I like Evie Rose, Mirabelle Frances, Audrey Magdalena, Hebe Isabel, Sukie Rose, Lucy Beatrice, Scarlett Elsie Neva, Florence Arabella (again, heavenly!), Arabella Ophelia Lucy, Alice Violet, Lottie Constance, Elsie Willow Emery, Clementine Jane Ava and Lyra Coralie. Is this a New Zealand paper or an English one, because all these names sound very English to me 🙂 I love that so many older names are coming back, so much nicer than “trendy” names like McKayla and Caedyn. No offense.

Do you like Flo as a nickname? I don’t think I do. Its from the telegraph website online which is UK 🙂 I love looking at all the older names I think they are beautiful almost like reading NZ death announcements.

No, I don’t like Flo much at all. I think Florence is lovely just with no nicknames, as it is. If I used it on a future daughterI don’t think I’d shorten it, maybe just call her by an unrelated nickname if I wanted something less formal-sounding.
Haha I knew it 🙂 English babies have such distinct names, I really do think that, on the whole, the British know how to name their children best. I agree, they’re names usually seen only in death notices, but I love how prevalent they are in the UK.

The other day in the paper one of the dead people was named Florence May and her nickname was Floss which I thought was kind of cute.

Floss is cute but it makes me think of dental floss 😛 hehe. Florence May is lovely though 🙂
