I voted for Violet Annora Maude, but I don’t really like Violet.
Viola is heaps better. Viola Elspeth would get my vote if the whole thing was about Viola 🙂

Thanks for the vote, I just can’t grow to love Viola I don’t know why! Viola Elspeth does sound pretty though!

I voted Violet Bella Catherine. Not sure why, just like the way they sound together I guess.

It’s not my favorite, so I’d end up just pairing it with other nature-y names if I tried to make suggestions, and they’d all sound like hippie names.

A much less common choice would be Iolanthe. Violet doesn’t really stand out… though the flower can definitely be beautiful, and to that extent the choice appeals to me.

Hehe would love to hear some suggestions 🙂
Iolanthe is very pretty but I do really like Violet, especially from watching Private Practice it has grown on me, I like its old romantic feel.
What are flower/nature names do you like?

Violet is lovely! Viola is my favorite name (at the moment, anyways :-)), but that’s partially since I hear Violet quite often (on name boards, not real life :-)).

Anyways, I’d personally pair Violet with frillier middle name(s) because of the T ending, as well as uncommon ones. So, my favorites are Violet Aurelia Faye, Violet Cordelia Jane, Violet Cecily Jane, Violet Genevieve, Violet Isadora Jane, and Violet Pandora. Visually, I like the look of Violet Isadora Jane best (no idea why), so she gets my vote! 🙂

If you want a second middle name for some of these, I think that Violet Bathsheba Jane, Violet Catherine Pearl, Violet Elspeth Juno, Violet Fenella June, Violet June Cecily, Violet Emmeline Pearl, Violet Genevieve Claire, Violet Pandora Jane, or Violet Annabel Ruth would be pretty… 🙂

Which name boards do you like to visit? 🙂

Thanks for all the votes I agree with you about the frillier middle 🙂

Quite a few boards… Nameberry, Behind the Name, Yahoo! Answers, but I haven’t been posting a lot recently. I visit Appellation Mountain and You Can’t Call It “It”, too, but rarely comment. (My usernames vary, though; I don’t want to give out my name online, so I figured that I might as well pick a random name I like. 🙂 Besides, my first name isn’t exactly uncommon, so it’s probably already taken for a username, anyways. I’ve settled on “Coralie”, but now I can’t figure out how to change them all! 🙂 Oh well. ) Sorry, that was longer than I intended.

From your newer options, Violet Pandora Jane, Violet Cecily Jane, and Violet Coralie are lovely. 🙂 Hmm… I like them all equally… Which one sounds best with your surname, then?

Coralie is pretty cool! I went to school with a Coralea!
My last name is Hamilton what do you think?

Thanks! Unfortunately, my classmates had pretty bland names, from what I remember.

Oh, I think that all of them sound great with Hamilton, and the initials don’t spell anything funny… Which one is YOUR favorite?

Okay, never mind, I just looked up “Jane Hamilton”, and apparently, there’s an author with that name. Also, there’s an, um, adult film actress and director whose birth name was Jane Hamilton, so I’ll vote for Violet Cecily June or Violet Coralie.

Or, maybe Violet Pandora Faye, Violet Pandora Claire, Violet Isadora June, Violet Isadora Faye, or Violet Isadora Claire would work?

Violet Isadore Faye is pretty! Don’t think hubby is ultra keen on Violet but will keep suggesting it 🙂
