    River’s a gorgeous name I think 🙂
I used to know a little girl called River, don’t know of any siblings there.
Three brothers I know are called Elrik, River and Finbar (Finn).
And my friend’s little cousin, whose siblings are called Fiora, Cassie and Noah,
was named Ulani at birth but when she was one her mum dreamt that her
baby was called River, so she changed the baby’s name to River Ulani Francesca.
    She gets called Riv.

A girl river thats interesting! Elrik is interesting alongside River & Finbar. Fiora is really lovely sort of like Fiona! Cassie & Noah seem to go really well with River.
Ulani- is that hawaiian? I haven’t heard of it before.

I’m not actually sure where Ulani came from, but the interesting thing is that not long ago I babysat a little girl with the same name. Riv’s mum pronounced it Yoo-lah-nee, though, while the other Ulani was pronounced Oo-lah-nee.

        I like OO-lah-nee but I would seeing I like Oona & Orla.

I like Oona too, though I prefer the spelling Una. The only person I’ve seen it on is a little girl in the childcare centre I did work experience in, her name was spelt Oonagh.

Oonagh is pretty I wonder if it would be tricky for a child. I worry that Una would be said you-nuh not Oo-nuh here in NZ. what do you think?

        Sophia said,

I would always think Oo-nuh for Una, because it kind of reminds me of the game Uno, which I say Oo-noh, but I guess other people might see it as being said Yoo-nuh. I can’t say I like this pronunciation at all. Reminds me of Eunice. Euh.

I didn’t even think of uno! I love that game 🙂 I don’t like the name Eunice either, my Nan’s sister was Eunice.

I always think of the nerdy girl in She’s The Man, have you seen that movie? I love it, but that character… Hmmm…

I don’t know your movie taste so I don’t know if you’d like it, but I think it is pretttttty funny! It’s a modern adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night”. Good old fashioned girl-dressed-as-boy-type humour.

my taste is kind of quirky romance, artsy films, documentaries and kids movies! Latest love is “astro boy.” I am so looking forward to Alice in Wonderland 🙂

Well She’s the Man is a mainstream comedy, so I dunno if you’d like it. I am so excited for Alice in Wonderland too! I love Tim Burton movies 🙂
I also like quirky romance movies, also just general romantic comedies, or even romance in general. I have to admit, I love Titanic, even though it’s corny and unrealistic. I enjoy some artsy films and documentaries, but I think my favourite genre is romance. My favourite movies is Ghost World though, so I just don’t know!

It’s basically just a snapshot of the lives of two best friends, Enid and Rebecca (Thora Birch and Scarlett Johansson), who’ve just graduated from high school and having a bit of a break from everyone and everything. They’re pretty much just chillin’ round town, and they meet this eccentric old guy called Seymour (Steve Buscemi) who is a huge bluegrass fan and Enid becomes good friends with him. Rececca just thinks he’s weird. Stuff happens. I won’t tell you, because I’ll spoil it for any potential future viewings. But it’s really good, obviously, and the humour’s hilarious. To me 🙂

I may have to get it out when we get the car back 🙂 Thanks for the recommendation 🙂 I much prefer Thora to Scarlett what about you?

        Sophia said,

Thora seems kind of… franker? Like, more blunt and unapologetic about what she says. Scarlett, I have to admit, IS pretty gorgeous. I like her. She’s also kind of vague and myserious (By the way, I’m totally just casting these judgements from characters they’ve played haha) but really nice too? I dunno, I don’t think I’ve seen enought of Thora Birch to really have an opinion. The only other things I’ve seen her in are American Beauty and Hocus Pocus when she was a kid.
I think I just really like both women about the same. For different reasons.
