Demetrius, Heath, Tobias are spunky 🙂 Abram is growing on me as an alternative to Abraham.
Hubby is fond of Dexter & Heath.
I like Hezekiah & Nehemiah I just worry they are a little girly, thats what hubby says 😛
Samson is a lot fresher than Samuel.

Rex hasn’t gone over so well. Too “pretentious” apparently. But then Bede and Rafe are okay? Odd is my man. Very odd.

Very odd indeed! there is a Bede at hubby’s centre I also knew a Milo, Bede & Mimi sibset. Apparently Ralph used to be said “Rafe?”

Yup. Rafe was the medieval and common phonetic form. Ralph said “ralf” is a modern and perhaps more American invention.
You will still find Ralph said RAYF in some sectors of society in the UK, think ‘poshies’ although it’s become outdated. The actor Ralph Fiennes is a RAYF.

I don’t like Ralph but I like it said “Rayf” would never work in NZ though! also reminds me of the Judy Blume book where the guy calls his penis “Ralph!”

LOL! Didn’t know that. I’ve only heard Peter, Percy and Johnson for a penis so far.
