I’ve been trying to avoid looking at my lists. It seems like the more I stare at names, the more confused I am. Hoping to have a fresh perspective when it’s time to look back through them.

You used Winsome!!! I LOVE Winsome, as well as Winona, but Winsome is the best of them ^^

I agree with Sarah, Aurelia Millicent Plum is awesome!!
Aurelia Fern is cute, Aurelia Primrose is precious and Aurelia Honey Belle is just pure sweetness! Honey is a GP of mine, but I think I’m more likely to use it on a future cat…
We have a tradition of ‘spice’ names for our cats, so I would love to have Honey, Cinnamon and Cardamom as my future cats ^^
We’ve had Salt, Pepper, Sugar, Cinnamon (Kanel in Norwegian) and Raisin already and I think it’s really cute ^^

Winsome is quite an old name isn’t it? I like Winona too 🙂
Aurelia Millicent Plum is my favourite too 🙂 I like making combos in my spare time. When I start work I can make them on the bus 🙂
Do you have Honey in some combos?:)
Aw cool Salt, Pepper, Sugar, Cinnamon & Raisin are super cute!! Honey, Cinnamon & Cardamom are cool together 🙂
I like Vanilla, Spice, Nutmeg and Saffron too 🙂

Winsome is very old, yes… It’s a virtue name actually in a way, means ‘winning’ or ‘sweet and innocently charming’..
I had Honey Rosamund for a while, but I don’t have her in any current combo… Now I’m thinking I should! ^^

Vanilla is lovely, I hadn’t thought of that! Nutmeg is also good in it’s own quirky way… 🙂

I wondered if it was a virtue name I found it in cemetery records. It has a cool meaning and so much fresher than Grace/Hope/Faith/Charity etc.
Honey Rosamund is pretty! I like Rosamund a lot now.
How many cats do you have at the moment? 🙂

I like Aurelia Fern best, and Aurelia Wren. And Aurelia Jane. Maybe it’s the way one-syllable middles go with the longer first name that I like. Although I like Aurelia Coraline too. I think Aurelia is so pretty and it’s on my list, but what would you have for a nickname? I like long names with shorter nicknames, but I never found a nickname I quite liked enough for Aurelia.

Aula? sort of like Orla which I love. or maybe Rea/Lia/Elia (like start of Eliana) hmm I don’t know if any of those work for you?
I like the one syllable with Aurelia too, Aurelia Millicent Plum is very royal/regal I do still like Aurelia Wren/Fern & Jane like you especially with a longer last name.

Aurelia Honey Belle is very sickly sweet I know 🙂 Aurelia Ivy Helen is simple but elegant.

Conor learnt to say her full name at 2 1/2. He’s a strange child. At a stretch she can say Isla Scarlet and she likes Fleur because the aged Jack Russell around the corner is a Flir (I thought it was Fleur) short for Flirt 😛 The kids see her almost every day on the way to kindy.

I knew there was 3 more 🙂 Ophelie is very pretty on the end. Does he Conor call her by her full name? that would be a mouthful!
Aww how cool I like how Fleur is honoring 🙂
Will the baby have 2,3,4 middles? Cause Isla’s is a double first?

        Bewildertrix said,

No, he calls her Iowa (hasn’t got Ls well), Iowa Scawet, Bonnie, Bon Bon, Beast and Bonnie Fleur. It’s actually very easy to say quickly in full but it’s not something you want to be doing more than once in a blue moon.

I have no idea although I like short, snappy and many one syllabled names so that helps with length issues. I’m likely to go for three middles for a boy as I MUST include Douglas by order of my other half. I like it well enough but I’m not in love with it. That said, this being my last child, I think I’ve been given free reign to use what I wish up front (within reason i.e no Adaltrude or Hieronymus :P)

        babynamelover said,

Iowa is pretty cute as a nickname! If shes naughty do you say all her middle names?
Why is Douglas a must? is it your husbands name? or just a favourite?
Maybe if you use one syllables you can squeeze more in hehe 😛 Adaltrude is interesting! 😛

When she’s naughty, which is often, she can get anything. And I mean anything. Whatever pops into my head at the time. Daddy uses Isla Scarlet rarely and it’s only when he’s at the point of getting stressed. Otherwise, he’s uses Bonnie almost exclusively because he likes to sing her the annoying “My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean” with altered lyrics.

I wish Douglas was his name or middle, I would be far more keen on using it but it’s his best friends name who’s been in the UK for years. Practically a ‘brother’ to him. He’s a great guy, I’ve met him a few times. But, he goes by Doug exclusively so I’m not sure what we are supposed to be accomplishing by using Douglas when the man in question never uses it 😛

Aww Bonnie is cute for a wee girl. I must listen to that song, I think i have heard it before….
Aw but he’s set on Douglas? is there any variants you could use? maybe hide it in the middle of a couple of middles or at the end? Would you use Doug instead of Douglas?
