Zita

I am reading a book by a lady who had cancer in her mouth, her daughters are Zita,Emma & Vanessa.
Saint Zita (c. 121827 April 1272) was an Italian saint, the patron saint of maids and domestic servants. She is also appealed to in order to help find lost keys. (Wikipedia)

The girl’s name Zita \z(i)-ta\ is pronounced ZEE-tah. It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is “seeker“. A saint‘s name; also a short form of Rosita and Teresita. The name of the last Hapsburg empress.

Zita has 2 variant forms: Zeeta and Zyta. (http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Zita)

    Lola said,

Zita’s a pretty name and has a really neat meaning. Sadly, my OH thinks (or hears) Ziti every time I bring it up. 😦 Maybe as a sometimes nickname for Rosita. )Teresita does nothing for me).
