Oh, Tabitha’s another I have a soft spot for! My DHs cousin has a Tabitha, Anastasia and Max – it’s a lovely set, IMO 🙂

Anyway, my favourites here are Tabithe Annora Maude & Tabitha Ivy Karis.

Tabitha Annora Maude is utterly delectable 🙂 Tabitha is quaint but distinctive, whilst Annora brings some spark and Maude softens the combo, adding a heap of history to her. She is absolutely delightful – a true gem!

I’d really love Tabitha Ruby Edith, Tabitha Ceridwen Alice, Tabitha Mathilde Alice and Tabitha Jacinta Ruby, as well 🙂

I thnk Tabitha is very pretty, that is a nice sibset 🙂 Is there any nicknames for Tabitha you can think of?
I think my favourite is Tabitha Ruby Edith at the moment but they always change 🙂
      thanks for your input 🙂

Oh, I know – mine always change too! At the moment I’m having real trouble deciding ony my favourite Viola & Beatrix combos – it’s driving me nuts!

Anyway, well, ‘my’ Tabitha is usually just called Tabitha. Occasionally someone will call her Tabby (which reminds me of cats), and that’s the only nn I can think of right now – perhaps I’ll sleep on it and let you know!

Hehe tabby reminds me of a cat but I think it could grow on me, its kinda cute.

I have loved Beatrix after watching the Beatrix Potter movie have you seen it? I think that’s where Jemima comes from we used to watch Peter Rabbit when we were little and my Grandma had the books. They have such cute names. I wonder if there’s somewhere I can find list of her characters names. I will investigate…

I think I prefer Violet to Viola I think of the instrument, not that that’s a bad thing though 🙂

No, I haven’t seen it! My sister and I loved Beatrix Potter’s work growing upas well 🙂 I don’t know if I thought up Beatrix from there go. I probably just heard someone mention it, and warmed to it!! Peter, Jeremy, Benjamin, Samuel, Johnny & Tom are hte boys I can gather, and Jemima, Cecily & Anne are Potter’s female characters. There are more though!!

Many people prefer Violet over Viola, and I like them almost equally, but I think Viola is a tad more distinctive, she’s easier to match in combos (flow wise) and I already have an Iris, so I think a Violet would be a bit much!

I think your right Iris and Violet would be too much in a sibset, although look at Jamie Oliver Poppy,Daisy & Petal (seems out of place)

I like Benjamin but dislike Ben and same with Alexander I don’t like Alex or Xander.

I was thrilled to learn her Dad and Brothers names, they will definitely be going in my combos somewhere 🙂

Do you have your own favourite combos?

    SophieGray said,

Mm. Jamie Oliver’s kids – see, I adore Poppy, and Daisy is my favourite nn for Margaret/Marguerite, but their mn are ridiculous! And Petal Blossom Rainbow? I instantly thought – my Little Pony! 🙂

I don’t mind Ben, but too much prefer Benjamin, and I really like Alexander as well, but despise Xander and find Alex a little lucklustre. I’d probably go with Sasha or Alexei if I had a son named Alexander!

I definitely have my favourites – especially with the girls names – but I have heaps and heaps, so it’s kinda going to be nuts trying to choose one when we have another bub.
The ones giving me the biggest problems are my Beatrix combos, because she’s my top name, and all 3 combos I adore equally. I’m tossing up between Beatrix Cecily Jane, Beatrix Elodie Pearl and Beatrix Ida Clementine?!

Do you have any definite favourites?

hehe my little Pony, I think Petal is out of place with Poppy and Daisy. My nan is Margaret and my Mil I really like both Poppy and Daisy 🙂 What are your favourite flower names? apart from Iris of course 🙂 Ooh I like Sacha thanks Sophie 🙂 ooh I will think about your combo’s and reply later hubby is trying to get me out of the door to go to the farmers market betta go 🙂

I like Beatrix Cecily Jane the best simple and sweet 🙂

    SophieGray said,

Mm – I agree, BCJ is my favourite, but I like the sweetness of BEP, so I can’t let ehr go! And I really want to find a place for Ida, and I really adore her sound following Beatrix, I just need to find the right name for the 2nd middle! Beatrix is definitely my #1 though. A couple of years ago my top combo was Clara Esme Lucille, but now I have a niece named Lucille and I’ve never been able to find another Clara combo I love 😦

Flower names are a little vice of mine 🙂

Apart from Iris and Poppy, Violet, Acacia and Dahlia are probably myfavourites, and Ivy if you include her! I also have a bit of a soft spot for Amaryllis, but I’d never use her!!

    What are yours?

    • 11

      babynamelover said,

Clara is cute! I have a friend Acacia 🙂 my favourite is Poppy, then Daisy as a middle name 🙂 I like Amaryllis too!! Oh and Jasmine my niece, is Jessamine a flower?

  6. 12

    SophieGray said,

Your friend has an awesome name! – I have a Genevieve amongst the Rebeccas, Erins, Jennifers and Graces, but that’s as good as mine get!

Yes, Jessamine’s a flower – quite a pretty one. That’s the only issue I have with flower names, particularly Acacia & Dahlia- I really adore the name but dislike the flower!

Jasmine’s lovely too. My nice is Ella Jasmine, but she’s a Top 20 pick in my state and seems particularly popular where I live, so she’s becoming a little irritating to me!

      babynamelover said,

Jasmine is pretty popular here too her sister is Amber. Genevieve is on hubby and our list that we both like I love the nn Evie 🙂
I must find somewhere to put Jessamine in the middle spot.
Ella has been very popular here.

    SophieGray said,

I love Evie for Genevieve too, but my Genevieve goes by Viv or Vee usually.

I think Jessamine is great and unexpected in the middle! Definitely think on it! My niece Ella’s sister is a Charlotte Isabelle.

My doctor I like to go to at Uni is Dr Viv 🙂 Viv is a cute nickname do you like Vivi?
I prefer Isobel like this, I like Charlotte but very popular I do love the nickname Lottie.
Do you have other nieces and nephews?

  8. 16

    SophieGray said,

Yeah, Vivi is really sweet. I prefer them over Evie because Eva, Evie and Eve are all Top 100 material here, so she’s getting a little tired to my ears! Dr Viv – that’s really cool! My childhood Dr was Dr Payn, ironic really!

I prefer the Isabel spelling, but one of my other nieces’ mn is spelled Isobel 🙂 I adore Lottie 🙂 she usually just goes by Charlotte, which is very popular heere also – #5 last year.

Ah! I have 10 nieces and nephews 🙂 4 on my side, and 6 on DH’s. The youngest was born in Feb and mum’s depressed because it was her 7th grandchild and she’s only 50 this year!

    How many do you have?

    • 17

      babynamelover said,

Hehe My cooking teacher was Mrs Payne. I will have to look up the Eve variants in the top 100 here tomorrow, Off to bed in a minute should be there already!
Wow that is a lot of nieces and nephews I have 3 one is an angel, my husbands brother has Jasmine Christina 5, Michael Joseph (RIP) and Amber Jane 5 weeks. My Mum is 51 but no Grandkids I’m the eldest, Katherine (Kate) 18, Matthew (Matt) 16, Connor 12 & Erin is the baby shes 10 in July.

I know – how ridiculous is it! Neither DH or I are even 30 yet and 10 nieces and nephews – makes you feel old. 5 weeks – that’s absolutely precious! so sweet. Wow- you have a lot of siblings 🙂 I would’ve loved having more growing up! Your family have lovely names too 🙂
I have an older brother, Erich (29) and a younger sister, Juliet (26). DH is the 2nd youngest of 4.

Ready, here are my nieces and nephews:
    – Angus Philipe & Lucille Olivia
    – Cecelia Isobel Rose & Lilian Margarete Pearl
    – Dylan Matias, Isaac Joakim & Annalese Elina
    – Charlotte Isabelle & Ella Jasmine
    – Oscar Rhys

the eldest is 10 and the youngest is 3 months, so it’s really crazy at family gatherings!! Angus, Lucie, Cecelia and Lilian are from my side, and the rest are on DH’s side of the family. I also have 3 god-children: Melody, Aria and Henry!

It’s absolutely insane — Btw, I love how Tabitha is not even coming up any more!

      oops – Juliet is 24, not 26!

Wow that is crazy! I only have four cousins as well, My Mum’s sister never had kids or my Dad’s brother and my Dad’s twin sisters died shortly after birth.
It is crazy having five sibblings but it is so much fun at family get together’s Kate is currently in Scotland on a gap year programme, the others are at home with my parents. Cecelia & Lillian have really nice middle names 🙂 how did your friend get on with Imogene? Oscar is a nice 🙂 Lucille is a nice change to just hearing Lucy!
so the grandchildren for your parents haven’t even finished!! My cousins are Lisa& Kylie, Hannah & Rachael they are from two different marriages my Mum’s brother. Kylie has a wee boy called Logan he is gorgeous big brown eyes! I saw my wee niece today she is smiling now!
I love Henry but I don’t think hubby will go for it he thinks its okay, I like Ariana too Aria as a nickname.
