Twilight fans

Could always use Meyer after Stephenie Meyer or Twila as a form of Twilight or even Dusk.

Shiloh

What do you think of Shiloh? Do you prefer it for boy or girl? I think girl because of Shiloh (Jolie-Pitt?)

My friend is named Chyloe (pronounced the same as Shiloh. Also named for the Neil Diamond song (babynamewizard) yuck hehe that spelling puts me right off.

Origin of the name Shiloh:

Hebrew name of uncertain meaning. It is thought to mean “he who has been sent.” The name is used in reference to the Messiah, the one to be sent by God.

Name for today-Alice

Origin of the name Alice:

A name that has evolved through a series of variants of the Germanic Adalheidis, a compound name composed of the elements adal (noble, nobility) and heid (kind, sort): hence, “noble one.” Adalheidis was contracted to Adalheid, which the French changed to Adelaide, then contracted to Adaliz, and contracted yet again to Aaliz, Alia, and Alix. The English then changed the spelling to Aeleis, Alys, and eventually to Alice.

Name for today- Nesta

NESTA

Gender: F
Origin: Welsh variation of AGNES

(nameberry)

AGNES

Gender: Feminine

Usage: English, German, Dutch, Scandinavian

Pronounced: AG-nəs (English), AHKH-nəs (Dutch) [key]

Latinized form of the Greek name ‘Αγνη (Hagne), derived from Greek ‘αγνος (hagnos) meaning “chaste”. Saint Agnes was a virgin martyred during the persecutions of the Roman emperor Diocletian. The name became associated with Latin agnus “lamb”, resulting in the saint’s frequent depiction with a lamb by her side. Due to her renown, the name became common in Christian Europe, being especially popular in England in the Middle Ages. (Behind the name)
